Banten Police Checks Personnel Readiness And Prepares Tools To Secure Student Demonstration

SERANG - Banten Police are preparing personnel and infrastructure to be used in securing demonstrations in the Banten area, including anticipating the movement of mass demonstrations to Jakarta. In carrying out security, personnel do not carry firearms.

Dirsamapta Polda Banten Kombes Murwoto said a readiness check was carried out to see how far the preparation of personnel and infrastructure to be used in securing demonstrations was carried out.

"Today the Banten Police held a troop rally, this gathering was attended by 400 people, consisting of Dalmas, Rantis, K9, negotiation units and Ditpamobvit personnel of the Banten Police, as well as security equipment for the unras action that was held in the rally including shields, helmets, dakura, sticks, Apar, dalmas rope, flashball." said Kombes Murwoto in a written statement, Sunday, April 10.

Furthermore, Murwoto added, preparations for vehicles were also carried out to be used in a series of security demonstrations.

"Includes 2 units of double cabin cars, 6 units of Almera patrol cars, 8 motorcycles, 2 water cannon cars, 4 buses and trucks, 1 public address car, 6 Raisa cars, 1 animal car and dozens of Ditpamobvit vehicles. Banten Police," said Murwoto.

Murwoto explained, in securing the demonstration, the Banten Police put forward a humanist approach, the team of negotiators would also be increased in number.

"In carrying out security, we will prioritize a humanist approach, the negotiator team will be added to the strength of the other Satker Polwan. The negotiation team is the initial formation that meets the masses, so that they are communicative and master the skills in negotiating with the masses of action," he added.

Murwoto emphasized that none of the Banten Police personnel on duty carried weapons.

"Personnel do not carry firearms and live ammunition in security, comply with SOPs and stick to a humanist approach," he said.
