Disdik Palembang Proposes 4,477 Honorary Teachers To Become PPK 2022

PALEMBANG - The Palembang City Government proposes as many as 4,477 temporary teachers and educators to become Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in 2022.

"The quota of 4,477 KDP people that we propose consists of teachers, educators, operator staff, administration and school guards," said Palembang City Education Office (Disdik) Ahmad Zulinto, during a coordination meeting on KDP acceptance in Palembang, Tuesday, April 5.

According to Zulinto, his party really hopes for the City Government to push the quota for the proposed appointment of honorary workers to become PPPK until it is fully agreed upon by the Central Government later.

The quota has been based on a thorough calculation of the number of employees needed at the Palembang Education Office, which has not been appointed for the last 10 years.

“Next year, honorariums will be removed, so please pay attention to our proposal, especially since every year there will be less than 600 teaching staff, because they are retiring and that's for sure. That's why we need the addition this year," he said, as reported by Antara.

According to Zulinto, Palembang still has many opportunities to propose the appointment of the PPPK because in the national recapitulation, only 17.3 percent or around 113,000 of the 700 thousand total honorariums have proposed.

In addition, Palembang is also considered to have the ability to pay as many as 4,477 PPPK which is sourced from the General Allocation Fund (DAU). "I am optimistic that it can be realized this year," he said.
