Intercept Pertamina's Tanker Loaded With Russian Oil, Indonesian Netizens Attack Social Media Greenpeace: Uraa!
JAKARTA - Greenpeace activists intercepted two tankers that were about to transfer oil from Russia in the waters of northern Denmark. One of them is the Pertamina Prime tanker, owned by the Indonesian state oil company PT Pertamina.
The Greenpeace activists swam and used kayaks to block two tankers that were about to transfer 100,000 tons of Russian oil.
France24 reported they carried banners calling on the Russian government to "stop waging war".
The eleven Greenpeace activists also wrote the words "War on Fuel Oil" on the hull of a giant tanker owned by PT Pertamina.
Citing its official website, Greenpeace International, the purchase of oil from Russia is considered by Greenpeace to strengthen Moscow's power, which is currently fighting against Ukraine.
