Police Combing Location Of Found Body Of Jeminten Murder Victim In Tulungagung

TULUNGAGUNG - The Tulungagung Police, East Java has begun to comb the banks of the Brantas River in the Blitar-Tulungagung border area to track down the murder of Jeminten (48), a woman resident of Tuliskriyo Village, Blitar Regency.

The housewife was previously found dead floating in a pathetic condition.

"While we are focusing on combing around the location where the victim's body was found," said Rejotangan Police Chief, AKP Puji Hartanto, as quoted by Antara, Monday, April 4.

The search was carried out by examining the location where the body was found, to the east as far as 250 meters, approaching the Tulungagung - Blitar border.

The sweeping was carried out because there was a possibility that the location of the disposal of the victim's body was not far from the location where it was found. The reason is, when found on Sunday (3/4) afternoon, the condition of the body has not been damaged.

It is estimated that the victim, who was later identified as Jeminten, a resident of Tuliskriyo Village, Blitar Regency, died on Sunday morning, and was thrown into the Brantas river. "We hope to find clues," he said.

To uncover this case, the police have examined a number of witnesses, including the victim's ex-husband. Another witness who was examined was the resident who was the first to find the victim's body.

According to family information, Jeminten had left the house since Friday (1/4). The victim last communicated on Friday night, informing him about the fasting schedule, at around 20.00 WIB. Since then, the victim's cell phone can no longer be contacted by his family.

Previously, residents were shocked by the discovery of the body of an unidentified woman in the Brantas River on Sunday (3/4).

The body of the woman who was later identified as Jeminten was found floating in the Brantas River on the border of Kates Village, Rejotangan District.

When found, the body was almost naked, wearing underwear and a bra, as well as a black shirt that was revealed. Both of the victim's hands were tied, allegedly for ballast, so that the victim's body did not float.

On the victim's stomach there was a 25 cm laceration. The identity of the victim was revealed after officers identified him. The victim was identified as Jeminten, a resident of Boro Hamlet, Tuliskriyo Village, Sanankulon District, Blitar Regency.
