PGN SAKA Records Total Production Reach 122 Percent Of The First Quarter Target 2022
JAKARTA – Pertamina Gas Subholding through SAKA Indonesia Pangkah Limited (SIPL) and its affiliates during the first quarter of 2022 recorded the total production of oil and gas (oil and gas) in the Pangkah Working Area (WK) managed by SIPL reached 17,530 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) or 122 percent of the target set at 14,381 BOEPD.
In terms of gas production, WK Pangkah produces gas of 52.08 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) or 122 percent of the initial plan of 42.81 MMSCFD. Realization for gas lines reached 44 MMSCFD or 123 percent of the target of 36 MMSCFD.
Meanwhile, oil production reached 8,334 barrels per day (BOPD) or 119 percent of the target of 7,000 BOPD. For LPG, WK Pangkah production reached 148 MTD or 138 percent of the target, with lifting reaching 150 MTD or 139 percent of the target.
The Head of SKK Migas, Dwi Soetjipto, appreciated the achievement of SIPL which had shown a brilliant performance in early 2022. To strengthen coordination, SKK Migas made a working visit to the SIPL Onshore Processing Facility (OPF) in Gresik on March 28, 2022.
Dwi hopes that this achievement can be maintained and that there are no things that cause oil and gas production and lifting to decline. According to Dwi, East Java currently still lacks gas supply, so strategic steps need to be taken so that gas from the Pangkah WK can be absorbed by consumers who need it.
"The achievement of production in WK Pangkah is expected to be optimally absorbed, especially to meet electricity needs in East Java, as well as contribute to the national oil and gas production target that has been announced by the government through SKK Migas," said GM SIPL, Khostarosa Andhika Jaya in a written statement to VOI. , Monday April 4th.
Andhika added that the Sidayu Field currently produces around 50 percent of the total oil production in the Pangkah WK. For the first time, oil production in this field comes from the CD Carbonate layer with the largest contribution from the Sidayu-3ST Well which reaches approximately 2,500 BOPD.
"This layer also still has the potential for additional wells," said Andhika.
In the future, SIPL will continue to develop the field in the Pangkah WK. Currently, SIPL is conducting a 3D seismic survey covering an area of 500 km2 to look for potential new oil and gas reserves.
This activity is accompanied by optimization of production facilities and well intervention activities to maintain oil and gas production.
Currently, the West Pangkah Field is the main field for gas production in the Pangkah WK. This field still holds gas potential from secondary targets, namely the LTC and UTC layers, which are currently still closed at WPA-03 and WPA-04 wells. This layer will later be opened to restrain the rate of decline in gas production.
"PGN SAKA will continue to coordinate with the government and all stakeholders so that oil and gas production from the Pangkah WK can be optimally produced and distributed optimally. The new projects being carried out are also a form of PGN SAKA's support to the state to increase national oil and gas production," said Andhika.
