2 New Films Of Azhar Kinoi Lubis: God Ask For Money And Go Home On Klikfilm

JAKARTA - Klikfilm does not stop being productive. This month, they collaborated with director Azhar Kinoi Lubis to work on two new films titled God Asks for Money and Goes Home.

God Asks for Money is a film that tells the story of Adi who works as a polisher. One day, Adi's secret was revealed, namely a woman named Maya in disguise. On one occasion, he got a suitcase filled with money that was used for treatment.

Putri Ayudya as the main character gets a challenge to play a 50-year-old grandmother. However, there was one scene that really made an impression on his mind because the scene was quite long.

"Characterically, I've never played a character like this. So almost all scenes are unforgettable," said Putri Ayudya at a virtual press conference on Saturday, April 2.

“There is one scene that I feel is memorable because it plays like a theater. First, let's choreograph from here to here," he said.

God Asks for Money presents a family genre film with a little twist. This is different from the movie Pulang, which Kinoi also worked on.

Pulang tells of Pras (Ringgo Agus Rahman) and his daughter, Rindu (Ziva Magnolya) who return to Grandmother's house to nurse Santi (Imelda Therine) and their youngest child, Biru (Mark Natama). This is their last trip because Pras and Santi decide to divorce.

"I don't want to be patronizing because the audience deserves to be patronizing. Through this film, I want to give an argument about how I feel,” said Azhar Kinoi Lubis.

This film presents a warm and emotional family story. The players also agreed that Pulang could be watched and felt by anyone.

“This reflects a real family but not just a broken home. Those who are fine can also do it," explained Imelda Therine.

Two of Azhar Kinoi Lubis' films: God Asks for Money and Goes Home can be watched on Klikfilm starting Saturday, April 2nd.
