During Ramadan, DKI Provincial Government Bans Alcohol Sales, Karaoke Places Operate At This Time
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) issued regulations for tourism business activities during the months of Ramadan and Eid 1442 Hijri. This is stated in SE Number e-0001/SE/2022.
In the SE, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages at drinking houses or bars, both independent and included in other business facilities.
"This type of business is a bar/drinking house that stands alone and is a karaoke business facility, pub/live music is not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages during Ramadan unless it is held together with a hotel area of at least 4 stars," said Head of DKI Disparekraf Andhika Permata in SE, Friday. , April 1st.
In addition, the DKI Disparekraf also regulates the operating hours of family karaoke places during the month of Ramadan, which can operate from 14.00 to 21.00 WIB. Andhika said, there will be sanctions applied to the tourism business place if there is a violation. Sanctions are applied in stages, starting from a written warning, suspension of permits, to revocation of business licenses.
"Violations of the provisions in points 2 and 3 are subject to administrative sanctions in accordance with articles 98 and 102 of the Regional Regulation of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta Number 6 of 2015 concerning Tourism and Article 52 paragraph (2) of the Governor's Regulation Number 18 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Tourism Businesses," he explained.
Meanwhile, other tourism businesses such as discotheques and massage parlors have not been allowed to operate since the beginning of the pandemic until now.
