Elderly In Temanggung Smiling, After Injecting The COVID Vaccine Returning Home With Cooking Oil
TEMANGGUNG - The Temanggung Regency Government, Central Java, made a breakthrough by providing cooking oil assistance to participants with the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly (elderly) group.
Acting Head of the Temanggung District Health Office, Dwi Sukarmei, said the cooking oil was an aid from Bank Pasar, Bank Jateng and PDAM in the context of synergy and mutual cooperation in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
"One of them is distributing cooking oil for the elderly in several health centers seeing the situation and the lowest (COVID Vaccination) results, so they are not the same," he said in Temanggung, Antara, Thursday, March 31.
Dwi said that until now there are still around 10,000 people in Temanggung Regency who have not been vaccinated while the amount of cooking oil to be distributed is around 3000 bottles. As a result, his party will use a priority scale when dividing.
"Not all elderly people who are vaccinated get cooking oil, look for those who really need it. The plan is to implement it in April 2022," he said.
The Regional Secretary of the Temanggung Regency Government, Hary Agung Prabowo, said that as a result of COVID-19, many people were economically affected. Therefore, there is an initiative to provide cooking oil assistance to elderly vaccinated participants. He said that with this kind of compassion, the elderly were expected to be enthusiastic about participating in the second dose of vaccination.
"Thank you to Bank Pasar, Bank Jateng, PDAM, who have helped in alleviating the community in the COVID-19 pandemic situation with the help of cooking oil for the elderly who took dose 2 of the vaccination, thus giving them the spirit so that they can be vaccinated," said Agung.
"The hope is that if the elderly have been vaccinated, they will be healthier, stronger, from transmitting the virus. The plan is for vaccination to be carried out door-to-door so that there is no buildup for the elderly," said Agung.
