Labfor Examines Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung KRL Shooting Projectile, Found In Carriage 5

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is investigating the shooting of the 2138 electric rail train (KRL) on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung connection. The projectile, which is thought to have come from an air rifle, is being examined at the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor).

"So now we have secured the evidence, namely projectiles, there were projectiles then broken glass, yes, KRL glass, now we are checking the projectile evidence at the Labfor, yes," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, March 31. .

In addition to examining the projectiles, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation also carried out a series of other checks. For example, asking for information from witnesses who were at the location at the time of the incident.

Zulpan said the shooting took place when the train was about to stop at Kebayoran station, exactly 200 meters before the station.

The projectile was found inside the fifth carriage of the train series. Fortunately, there were no casualties as a result of the shooting.

"Shooting with an air rifle resulted in the right glass shattering the fifth train from the front," Zulpan said.

"Until now there are no (victims, ed)," he continued.

Previously, it was reported that KRL 2138 was fired on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung relation. VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Anne Purba confirmed the incident. According to him, his party has cooperated with the police to reveal the vandalism case.
