Blocked On The Toll Road While Carrying Patients, Ambulance Driver Calls Honda HRV Driver To Go To The Road And Argue

JAKARTA - Aris, an ambulance driver who claimed to be intercepted by a Honda HRV driver numbered B 2475 TKO while carrying a patient on the Cawang Toll Road, East Jakarta, said that the incident occurred on Monday, March 28.

However, the video of the incident was uploaded to the @emergencyresponseindonesia account on Tuesday, March 29.

"That's right, it happened on Monday. Today it was just uploaded (video recording of the ambush)," said Ares, when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, March 29, evening.

Aris explained that the ambulance was intercepted at the Cawang Toll Road, East Jakarta. Aris explained that at that time he brought the patient using an ambulance at the Cawang Toll Road location. Then the right side of the road was congested so Ares directed the ambulance to the left.

"We asked to go left and many cars to the right (lane) gave the unit (ambulance) passing. When approaching the HRV vehicle, he (the HRV driver) instead held him on the left and continued to overtake the right," he admitted.

In the video of the ambush, it can be seen that when the ambulance was about to overtake, the Honda HRV driver followed the road.

"After overtaking why did he follow the road too, he should have held back. Then he got out of the car saying 'this is the slow lane and the ambulance is going to the right,'" he said while imitating the HRV driver's words.

Ares said the incident occurred at around 13.30 WIB.

"We were stuck on the toll road for a short time, because after we entered the JORR Toll Road, it was already a bit congested. As usual the Tanjung Priok route was a bit congested. The incident occurred on the Cawang Toll Road," he said.

Although in the end the ambulance was able to escape the traffic jam, Ares said that the police did not solve the traffic jam.

"There are no police officers. Regarding the debate between the HRV driver and the ambulance, the patient was shocked. But Alhamdulillah, it didn't cause anything unwanted," he said.
