Optimistic To Get Maximum Results In MotoGP Argentina, Vinales: I Am Confident For The Next Race

JAKARTA — Aprilia's Maverick Vinales is confident in welcoming the Argentine MotoGP early next week. He is optimistic to get maximum results compared to the previous two series.

Vinales is currently sitting in 16th position in the standings with four points ahead of the Argentine Grand Prix which will be held at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit, on Monday, April 4.

While at Mandalika, Vinales managed to find the right set up in the warm-up session when the track was still dry. As a result, he was able to be second fastest behind Fabio Quartararo in the warm-up session, but the setup did not go well because the race took place on a wet track after it was raining.

"In Mandalika we took an important step forward in terms of the setup that was not seen fully in the race because of the difficult conditions. However, this makes me feel confident for the next race," said Vinales quoted by Crash, Tuesday, March 29.

The four points that Vinales has collected so far are the result of finishing 12th in the first series in Qatar. Meanwhile, in Mandalika he failed to score after finishing 16th when he started the race from 20th position.

These results are far different from those obtained by his teammate Aleix Espargaro. Espargaro is currently in seventh place in the standings with 20 points after finishing fourth in Qatar and ninth in Mandalika.

Vinales said he was happy to welcome the Argentine Grand Prix. That's because he feels he can perform better at this track if he looks at the results obtained in the previous years' races.

"I believe we are very close to finding complete confidence, but in the current MotoGP championship every small improvement requires a lot of work from the team and the riders. It is a matter of bringing together a lot of details and creating the perfect synergy, but we are on the right track," said Vinales. .

So far the best result for the Aprilia RS-GP bike in Argentina was in 2016. At that time, their driver Stefan Bradl successfully finished in seventh position.
