Residents Attend Funeral Of M Iqbal, Victim Of KKB Papua

KENDARI - Residents in Anggotoa Village, Wawotobi District, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, jostled to witness the posthumous burial of the late Marine Lt. Muhammad Iqbal, which was carried out militarily.

Muhammad Iqbal was one of the soldiers who died in an attack by the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya in Papua, Saturday, March 26 afternoon, using a grenade launcher.

Although guarded by the TNI and the police, it did not dampen the willingness of residents and those who loved the deceased to see the body of the deceased one last time.

Residents and relatives kept trying to get closer to the pit of the deceased's tomb, but were continuously blocked by the TNI and police officers. Residents and relatives of the deceased also tried to immortalize the funeral procession of the deceased using their respective mobile phones.

The body of the late Marines Posthumous First Lieutenant Muhammad Iqbal was buried in the family cemetery about 30 meters behind the funeral home in Anggotoa Village.

The deceased was the youngest of four children, born in Anggotoa Village, on November 26, 1994. The late Marines Posthumous Lt. Muhammad Iqbal was the son of Hartini's mother and Maris.
