Recorded By CCTV, Thief Takes Honda ADV Away At Alternative Medicine Center

JAKARTA - Motor vehicle specialist thieves have returned to the Cakung area, East Jakarta. This time, the perpetrator used the mode of being a patient at an alternative therapy treatment place on Jalan Meranti, Pgilan Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

According to Poiman, the head of RW 08 Pgilan Village, the perpetrators managed to steal an automatic motorbike belonging to a resident in RT 08.

Based on the statement of the victim, who is the owner of the therapy treatment place, to Poiman, the perpetrator had pretended to be a prospective patient by asking for a medication brochure.

"The perpetrators were three people riding two motorbikes. At first they came to get brochures, then pretended to go out again," Poiman told reporters, Monday, March 28.

The perpetrators had wandered around the residential area of Jalan Meranti until they finally returned when the therapeutic treatment administrator was busy serving the patients who came.

Based on CCTV footage at the scene, two perpetrators entered and broke into the ignition of an ADV motorcycle with number B 3053 PIE which was parked in the yard.

"If you see on CCTV it happened fast, it only took three minutes to steal the motorbike and then run away. At the time of the incident there was a patient waiting too, but he was not aware," he said.

Due to this incident, the victim suffered a loss of around Rp. 25 million and has reported the case to the Cakung Police Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) for further action.

"Since the month of Ramadan is approaching, it's getting more and more vulnerable. Last week, my residents' houses were burglarized," he said.
