PT PDIW Jambi Worker Who Was Resting, Killed By A Tiger
JAMBI - A worker who was resting in the forest area of the former HPH PT Putra Duta Indonesia Wood (PDIW) in Puding Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, died after being attacked by a Sumatran tiger (Phantera tigris Sumatrae).
"The victim who was killed by the tiger named Firdaus (42), on Friday (25/3) together with three of his colleagues were resting in the forest area of the former PT PDIW HPH in Puding Village, Kumpeh Ilir. We have evacuated his body from the incident site. " said Muaro Jambi Police Chief AKBP Yuyan Priatmaja, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 28.
The case of a worker who was killed by a tiger is known from a public report to the Kumpeh Ilir Police. Kumpeh Ilir Police Chief AKP Dedi Subandi who received the report immediately coordinated with the Muaro Jambi Police Satreskrim and BKSDA to jointly go to the scene of the incident to evacuate the victim's body.
From the scene of the incident, it was found that there were traces of tiger bites and bites on the victim's body and there were severed body parts that were eaten by the king of the jungle.

The chronology of the incident from the statements of witnesses who are friends of the victim said the victim and three of his co-workers, namely Ilham, Arianto and Irwan were resting in the forest area of the former PT PDIW HPH located in Puding Village, Kumpeh Ilir District on Friday (25/3). .
The victim's position, Firdaus, was with one of his co-workers, Arianto, who was not far from the location of the excavator. Meanwhile, two of Ilham and Irawan's co-workers were in the excavator to rest.
One of the victim's co-workers who was on the excavator saw a tiger walking towards the victim who was standing at the time and the victim's co-worker who was on the excavator immediately shouted at the victim saying "There is a tiger in front of you, watch out".
Hearing the screams, the victim's coworker immediately ran towards the excavator, while the victim Firdaus ran towards the forest thickets and the victim's coworker saw the tiger moving after the victim who was running towards the forest.
The witnesses who fled to the excavator only heard one scream from the victim and then did not hear the voice of the victim again in the forest.
Muaro Jambi Police Chief AKBP Yuyan said after the incident, the next day or Saturday (26/3) the three witnesses went to the residential area to ask for help, because there was no telephone signal at the location, so the witnesses could not report the incident.
On Sunday (27/3) the police and BKSDA went to the location to evacuate victims and from the results of the identification of the crime scene, the Kumpeh Ilir Police, assisted by the Muaro Jambi Police Satreskrim, stated that it was true at the scene that a corpse was found in a decomposed condition.
The condition of the victim when found in a state of incomplete limbs, on the legs to the hips is no longer there, and for the head is also missing.
From the results of the examination, the victim died from being injured by a wild animal. At the scene, the skull of the victim was also found which was not far from the victim's body.
The bodies were then evacuated from the forest and handed over to the families of the victims and buried.
