KKB Papua Makes Another Action At The Koteka Nduga Post, Which Is Guarded By Marines, Danrem: If Attacked, We Will Retaliate

PAPUA - The armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya, Monday afternoon at around 13.00 WIT, shot the Koteka Post guarded by Marines in Kwareh Bawah, Kenyam, Nduga Regency, Papua.

Danrem 172/PWY Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan acknowledged that there were reports of shootings by the KKB at the Koteka post in Kwareh Bawah which was guarded by Marines. The post is under the Kenyam Airport area.

"From the reports received, there was indeed a shooting at the TNI post, which resulted in a response and a shootout took place. There were no casualties in the incident," said Izak when contacted from Jayapura, Antara, Monday, March 28.

Pos Koteka is located about 350 meters from the airport. Currently all TNI personnel in Kenyam are on standby. However, continued Brigadier General Izak, his party did not pursue KKb.

"If attacked, we will fire back with full force," said Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan.

He added that the shooting incident was reported to have no effect on flight activities at Kenyam Airport.

From the report, it was revealed that three planes had landed at Kenyam Airport, explained Danrem 172 PWY Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan.

Previously, the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya, last Saturday evening, attacked the Mupe Task Force Post in Kware Bawah, killing two Marines and injuring eight. The two personnel who died were Dan Pos Letda Mar Moh Iqbal and Private Mar Wilson Anderson Here.
