Received An Order From Jokowi, Menparekraf Sandiaga Ensures Ease Of Licensing For Music Concerts And The Creative Economy
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno emphasized that the organization of music and creative economy events can be held on condition that health protocols (prokes) and complete vaccinations are implemented because the COVID-19 pandemic situation is increasingly under control.
"The President (Joko Widodo/Jokowi) attended himself and ordered us and the Police that music and other creative economy events be facilitated in order to obtain permits," he said when he visited the Joyland Festival March 25-27 2022 at Taman Bhagawan Nusa Dua, Bali, in an official statement. quoted by Antara, Sunday 27 March.
He admitted that President Jokowi had ordered his party to facilitate the licensing of music events and the creative economy (Ekraf) considering that for the past two years music lovers and artists in Indonesia had been eager to hold concerts.
A singer, Raisa, was stated to have asked to hold the first female single concert at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). "This certainly opens a new spirit," said the Menparekraf.
If every spectator has implemented prokes and carried out complete and booster vaccinations, Sandiaga considers this industry to be more vibrant so that it can generate economic growth and create jobs.
"The direction of the President for this music concert is now operational. We will discuss the restrictions on audiences later with the organizers. The important thing is that the vaccine is complete, the booster is better," he said.
Menparekraf also invited activity organizers and actors in the creative economy sector to initiate activities.
If there are difficulties in carrying out the activities that have been designed, he stressed, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is willing to be contacted to facilitate these efforts.
Joyland is an arts and culture festival with selected activities and entertainment such as musical performances, film screenings, creative workshops, comedy and markets.
