JAKARTA - Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Police AKBP Ridwan Soplanit said that schools must strictly apply the rules in the teaching and learning environment. The form of juvenile crime, including the involvement of students in brawls, cannot be tolerated.
"If anyone is involved in a criminal act, he must take the consequences of being suspended or expelled from school," Ridwan said when confirmed, Saturday, March 26.

“Every student or school student is monitored not only internally but also in collaboration with each student's parents. So what they do outside of school is a shared responsibility," he said.
Previously, it was reported that the police had named 7 out of 11 students as suspects for the death of a student named Cahya due to a brawl in front of the Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 23, early in the morning.
The seven suspects with the initials, WH, WZ, SMP, DAA, YGS, RMM, RKW, were proven to have committed acts of persecution that led to death.
"There are 7 people that we put into the category of suspects. Four witnesses were at the TKP at that time," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Ridwan Soplanit to reporters at the Pesanggarahan Police, Friday, March 25.
Ridwan explained, the beginning of the brawl occurred when two groups of students made an appointment through Instagram social media. After determining the location of the brawl, they met and the violence occurred.
"After they made an appointment on social media, 30 minutes later they arrived at the specified location. Then only about 3 to 4 minutes they got into a fight and then they dispersed." Ridwan explained.
It was reported that in the incident there were two victims, one person died on behalf of Cahya (18) and another person's initials R (20).
Cahya died from a knife wound. He was stabbed three times on the victim's body.
