Three Armed Robbers Who Robbed A Teenager's Motorbike In Palmerah Have Been Arrested, One Perpetrator Is Still At Large

JAKARTA - Three robbers with the initials MG, RM and AG were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The three were arrested by the police after strangling the victim, IL (17) on Jalan Brigadier General Katamso, Palmerah, West Jakarta, a few days ago.

In their action, the three perpetrators were desperate to injure the victim and robbed the motorcycle and other valuables belonging to the victim.

"We secured them after 14 hours of the incident. We managed to catch three of the perpetrators," said West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Joko Dwi Harsono when confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 25.

Joko explained that the incident began when the victim who was crossing Jalan Brigjen Katamso was grabbed by four people riding two motorbikes riding on each other.

When grabbed, the victim who had fought back was then stabbed in the back until he was injured.

"Then his motorbike, wallet, valuables belonging to the victim were confiscated. The victim was stabbed in the back," he explained.

According to Joko, the victim and the perpetrator's house was not far from the scene. Even the victim and perpetrator had seen each other, but did not know each other.

However, when asked about the motive of the perpetrators, Joko confirmed that the case was pure theft with violence.

"It turns out that they have seen each other, although they don't know each other closely, they have seen each other. Pure theft with violence," he said.

West Jakarta Metro Police Crime Head AKP Avrilendy said that from the arrest of the perpetrator, the police confiscated evidence of two motorbikes belonging to the perpetrator, the victim's motorbike, a wallet and a modified sharp knife.

He said the perpetrators also took Rp200 thousand from the victim's wallet which was confiscated at the time.

Even though they have arrested 3 perpetrators, the police are still hunting for one other perpetrator who has a DPO status.

"Our perpetrators are threatened with article 365 paragraph 2 with a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison," he said.
