BRI President Director Sunarso Was Appointed As The Best CEO Of SOE: This Is The Hard Work Of All Company Personnel

JAKARTA – President Director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) Sunarso is said to have won the award as the Best CEO of SOEs 2022 from SOE Track. In his statement, Sunarso said the appreciation achieved was a sign that the company had a positive performance, particularly in empowering and escalating the recovery of MSMEs.

"I want to convey that this is the hard work of all company personnel to provide the best service for customers," he said in a press statement quoted Friday, March 25.

According to Sunarso, this achievement has further encouraged BRI to provide banking facilities that suit the needs of the community.

"We will continue to carry out transformations that focus on aspects of digitalization and culture in order to provide the best service. This award definitely brings positive changes for the company to maintain and improve the company's performance," he said.

Not only did he win the Best CEO award, but his bank wong cilik also won three other titles, namely the category of Growth and Survival Strategy, GCG Corporate Governance, and The Best Corporate.

In terms of performance, BRI throughout 2021 recorded a bank-only net profit of IDR 32.22 trillion or increased by 75.53 percent on an annual basis (year-on-year/yoy).

The company is also known to continue to strive to encourage MSMEs to advance to class by empowering and providing business capital. BRI's total loans and financing on a consolidated basis have reached IDR 1.042.87 trillion.

In detail, the micro-segment was recorded to dominate lending and financing with a nominal value of IDR 483.89 trillion, the small and medium segment of IDR 240.35 trillion, the corporate segment of IDR 168.27 trillion, and the consumer segment of IDR 150.35 trillion.

“BRI will continue to create and deliver value so that it continues to grow sustainably. In addition to creating value from the economic and business aspects (economic values), we want to present social values for all levels of society," concluded Sunarso.
