Knock! DPR Agrees To Sell Ex KRI Teluk Sampit For IDR 173 Billion
JAKARTA - Commission I of the House of Representatives agreed with the sale of KRI Teluk Sampit-515, after hearing an explanation from the government.
"The NasDem faction and the PPP faction were not present, seven factions submitted their approval for the sale of state-owned goods, namely the former KRI Teluk Sampit-515 ship to the Ministry of Defence," said Deputy Chairman of Commission I Abdul Kharis Almasyhari when reading the conclusion of a working meeting at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta. , Thursday 24 March.
Commission I held a working meeting with the Government, in this case the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa, and the Chief of Staff of the Navy (Kasal) Admiral Yudo Margono.
The meeting discussed the Presidential Letter Number: R-57/Pres/12/2021 dated December 15, 2021, regarding the application for approval of the sale of state property at the Ministry of Defense in the form of KRI Teluk Sampit-515.
Before the decision was made, each faction expressed their opinion, but representatives from the NasDem and PPP factions were not present.
Member of Commission I from the PDI-P faction TB Hasanuddin said his party agreed to give approval to the sale of KRI Teluk Sampit 515. However, he emphasized that the money from the sale must go into the state treasury and be used for Indonesia's defense purposes.
"However, the value of these assets needs to be recalculated, so that the auction value is in accordance with the assets being auctioned," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said the acquisition value from the sale of KRI Teluk Sampit 515 was Rp. 173 billion.
The technical aspect of the sale of the former KRI relates to the condition of the ship's material which was heavily damaged and the machinery, electricity, communication navigation equipment, and ship's bridge instruments could no longer be used.
"From an economic point of view, it is not economical to repair. If it is not immediately abolished, (then) there will be a decrease in the value of goods and reduce the availability of berths for ships at the dock, there is potential for state revenue if the former KRI is sold," he said.
Also present at the working meeting were Deputy Minister of Defense M. Herindra, Andika Perkasa, and Yudo Margono.
