JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that the National Police will take firm action against all parties who violate the rules and commit irregularities in the distribution of cooking oil.

This warning was conveyed by the National Police Chief when he visited PT Asianagro Agungjaya, Cilincing, North Jakarta as a producer of cooking oil, Monday.

General Sigit emphasized that the National Police through the Food Task Force (Satgas) at the central and regional levels will assist in escorting, monitoring and distributing cooking oil to the market.
According to him, the commitment is to ensure that cooking oil is properly distributed to the market and sold at a price that is in accordance with government policies, especially bulk cooking oil which is regulated according to the highest retail price of Rp. 14,000 per liter or equivalent to Rp. 15,000 per kilogram. , the need for cooking oil in the community can be fulfilled and it is hoped that there will be no more people waiting in line to get these basic ingredients.
"I asked Bhabinkamtibmas to carry out checks on all traditional markets," he said.
This check, said Sigit, is to get information at any time regarding the supply of cooking oil on the market. Information will be obtained which markets are experiencing a supply shortage, including checking that selling prices are not in accordance with the policy.
“This information can be reported to the Food Task Force. So that the National Police can coordinate with fellow producers and distributors as well as related ministries to ensure that everything is in accordance with the rules," said Kaolri.
