MANDALIKA - Indonesian racer, Mario Suryo Aji, failed to get on the podium in the Moto3 race at the Mandalika Circuit, Sunday, March 20. Starting from third position, Mario Aji only finished in 14th position.

With this result, Mario Aji is entitled to two points. This is the first point from him in the grand prix event.

"This is not the result we wanted, but I have given everything I have," said Mario Aji after the race.

The Honda Team Asia rider said he had a tire problem after a few laps. Suddenly the grip of the rear tire of the motorbike has decreased greatly.

However, Mario Aji was still able to survive until the end of the race.

"We actually got a lot of positive things in the race here. My first front row and also my first points for Indonesia," he said.

"I will keep learning and try to be better in the next race. This makes me more confident to face the next race," concluded the 17-year-old rider.

The next race will be held in Argentina on April 4. The racers, including Mario Aji, will compete at the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit.
