Getting Full Support From The Indonesian Community, Mario Aji Doesn't Want To Pay Attention To Social Media
MANDALIKA - Indonesian racer, Mario Suryo Aji, performed quite well on the first day of the Moto3 free practice session at the Mandalika Circuit, Friday, March 18. He managed to sharpen his record time in the second free practice session.
In the first free practice session (FP1), the Honda Team Asia rider took the 26th position with a time of 1 minute 54,223 seconds. Meanwhile, in the second free practice session (FP2), Mario Aji took the 23rd position with a time of 1 minute 42,336 seconds.
Mario Aji appeared with full support from the Indonesian people, both those who came to the Mandalika Circuit and through social media. He really appreciates the support, but doesn't want to be complacent about it.
"I really appreciate the support I've received from the fans, it's been great, but I don't want to pay attention to social media and focus on my work with the team this weekend," Mario Aji said in a written statement.
The racer fostered by the Astra Honda Racing Team admitted that the race at the Mandalika Circuit was the most important race this season. Understandably, he races in his own country with great support.
"Obviously, they have high hopes for me, but I will stay focused. I don't want any distractions," said Mario Aji.
The racer from Magetan admitted that he was very enthusiastic, but he tried to stay focused. He has a mission to make new developments with his team.
"It's going to be a great weekend," he said.
