SPT Report Deadline Is Near! You Can Now Pay Income Tax Safely And Easily Through Tokopedia

JAKARTA - The deadline for reporting Annual Tax Returns (SPT) is approaching, namely March 31, 2022, for Individual Taxpayers and April 30, 2022, for Corporate Taxpayers. For people who have not paid their tax obligations, they can immediately pay via the Online Tax feature on Tokopedia easily and safely, without having to leave the house.

In providing this service, Tokopedia synergizes with the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, enabling the public to access more than 900 types of state revenues, namely Online Taxes (including PPh, VAT, and Stamp Duty), Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP) and Customs.

"We facilitate the public to fulfill their state tax obligations through perception institutions such as banks and post offices as well as other perceptual institutions such as e-commerce (marketplaces), fintech, and retailers. This can help increase public compliance while at the same time encouraging state revenue for the sake of national economic recovery," said Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Suryo Utomo.

Meanwhile, Tokopedia's Director of Public Policy and Government Relations, Astri Wahyuni, said that there was an increase in tax payment transactions through the Online Tax feature on Tokopedia by almost four times in 2021 compared to 2020. "This high interest has encouraged us to continue to be committed to providing easy payments. taxes for the community to simultaneously help economic recovery," said Astri Wahyuni.

It is very easy to pay taxes online through Tokopedia. Users only need to open the Tokopedia application and select the 'Top Up & Billing' and 'State Receipts' menus. Then the user will be asked to enter a billing code which can be obtained from the tax.go.id site. The Tokopedia system will immediately process MPN transactions and send notifications to users when the payment is successful.
