Restorative Justice House In Karo, North Sumatra Inaugurated, Kajati: Small Disputes Don't Be Taken To Court, Can Be Discussed

MEDAN - Head of the North Sumatra High Court (Kajati) Idianto inaugurated the Restorative Justice (RJ) Pur Pur Sage house in Ketaren Village, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency.

"The application of RJ in stopping the prosecution is very beneficial. With peace, we will be united to build, but with hostility and disputes, we will usually block each other. We must preserve the values of local wisdom," said Idianto, in a written statement quoted by Antara. , Thursday, March 17th.

Idianto said, for example party A and party B because of something small, and indeed are political opponents, this will be easily provoked so that there will be acts against the law and bad consequences. With this RJ, small things like this can be overcome later.

"If necessary, do not take it to court, as long as we can discuss it, we will discuss it, it doesn't have to be brought to court," he said.

Kajati Sumut said, if things can't be reconciled, maybe the consequences--the legal threats--are very high and will reach the court.

"This program launched by the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, we must support as much as possible by all elements of society. Let's support this RJ for our common peace. Not only for today, but also for the future," he explained.

Kajati Sumut said that his party had terminated the prosecution with the application of RJ from January to March 2022 as many as 28 cases.

"The selection of Ketaren Village as RJ's House is also based on the settlement of cases by implementing RJ in the village," he said.
