Madura United Coach Beware Of Changes In Persija's Player Composition Ahead Of Clashes In The Delayed Match Of Week 24

JAKARTA - Madura United will face Persija Jakarta on Thursday at 20.30 WIB in the postponed match week 24 of the Indonesian League 1 2021/2022.

Ahead of the meeting between the two teams at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali, Madura coach Fabio Lefundes is very wary of their potential opponents. The thing that gets the most attention is the change in the composition of the players that could be applied by the Kemayoran Tigers.

“Persija made substitutions after losing three in a row and winning (against Tira Persikabo). It was an interesting game and we have to be aware of it," Fabio said, quoted from the club's official website.

Regarding the change in the composition of the players mentioned by Fabio, Persija were able to prove it when they faced Tira Persikabo last week. At that time, Persija won 4-0 because coach Sudirman made several changes in his squad such as fielding Irfan Jauhari as a striker from the first minute and including U-20 players in the first eleven list, namely Rangga Widiansyah and Dony Pamungkas.

According to Fabio, Persija's strategy can make it difficult for his team. Therefore, the Brazilian coach asked Bayu Gatra et al to focus on carrying out the planned tactics to reduce the resistance of the Kemayoran Tigers.

"Luckily we have experienced players who can understand the team's plans. That (focus) is important because our preparations are not long," said Fabio.

The postponed match for the 24th week could be an arena for revenge for Madura United. Because in the first round of Liga 1 this season, Persija defeated Laskar Sapeh troops with a score of 3-2.
