The Benefits Of The Food Card In The Face Of Soaring Cooking Oil Prices, Rizal Ramli: Soon Mr. Jokowi Will Distribute The Patience Card
JAKARTA - Former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Rizal Ramli, insinuated the use of basic food cards in the midst of scarcity and skyrocketing cooking oil prices in the country. The card is a promise made by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) during the previous campaign.
Rizal said that the card, which was issued by the government to help the community overcome this problem, was the idea of young people around President Jokowi. He said they acted practically to help Jokowi find a way out by issuing cards.
"In President Jokowi's circle, there are many young people who don't understand the problem, just give them cards, food cards, pre-school cards, all kinds of things. It's as if the problem can be solved by playing cards", Rizal told VOI, Thursday, March 17.
Rizal said that practical action is difficult to solve the problems that are currently being experienced by the community. Likewise, said Rizal, cheap basic food cards whose benefits are questionable in the midst of scarcity have spread to rising cooking oil prices.
"Soon, Mr. Jokowi will hand out patience cards, we are told to be patient", Rizal quipped.
In addition, Rizal said, skyrocketing prices and the scarcity of cooking oil supplies in the country were due to the inability of the relevant ministers to solve the problem. The reason is President Jokowi, he said, choosing ministers is not based on competence.
"This scarcity also occurs, not only in cooking oil, but in flour, sugar, and so on. This is due to Mr. Jokowi's blunder in choosing ministers only as a reward for their participation, donation, for victory as President", he said.

Rizal said that several of Jokowi's ministers stuttered in dealing with economic and social problems. In fact, the leadership's ability to solve problems is questionable.
Therefore, he asked President Jokowi to immediately take a stand so that problems that occur in the community can be immediately resolved, one of which is the cooking oil crisis.
"That's why I say, if the minister is incompetent, there are only two choices. First, fire him! Second, if you don't want to fire, you are afraid, it's a debt of gratitude, well, President Jokowi himself is down", said Rizal.
