One Suspect Is On The Run, This Is The Role Of Four Suspects For Fixing Scores In The East Java Zone 3 League With Tens Of Millions In Rewards
SURABAYA - Four of the five suspects in the alleged match-fixing and bribery of the East Java League 3 Zone have been arrested. However, one other suspect is still a fugitive.
The four suspects arrested are Bambang Suryo (52), Dimas Yopi Perwira Nusa (33), Imam Arif Hura (42), Ferry Afrianto (47). Meanwhile, one suspect who is on the DPO is Heri Pras (33).
"This case started with the suspects Heri Pras and Dimas Yopi," said Director of Criminal Investigation at the East Java Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto, in Surabaya, Wednesday, March 16.
Totok explained that this case began when Dimas Yopi and Heri Pras contacted Bambang Suryo. They requested that the match between Gresik Putra Paranane FA be met with Persema Malang during the 3rd League Zone of East Java.
"The conditioned money is Rp. 70 million in return," said Totok.
The scheme offered, Gresik Putra won with a score of 1-0 from Persema in the first half, but in the end Persema won over Gresik. Then, Bambang Suryo invited Ferry and Imam to ask the manager of Gresik Putra Paranane FA, Zha Eka Wulandari to give up against Persema Malang in exchange for Rp. 30 million.
"They also offered Rp20 million to HPS and ACK of Gresik Putra players. Ferry (and Imam) played a role in convincing HPS (Gresik players) to accept BS's offer, if his team did not qualify, another team would be found in League 2," he said.
Ferry, Bambang, Dimas and Heri also had a meeting at one of the meatball stalls in Malang City. "The purpose of the meeting was to condition the Persema Malang players to lose 1-0 in the first half," he said.
However, the practice of fixing this score was soon uncovered after Zha reported to the East Java PSSI Asprov on November 11, 2021. Then on November 22, 2021, the Chairman of the East Java PSSI Komdis reported it to the East Java Regional Police with some evidence.
