The 5.5 M Earthquake That Shaken Sukabumi Makes Depok Residents Run From The 3rd Floor
JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 5.5 M occurred in Sukabumi, West Java. Depok residents told how panicked they were due to this earthquake.
These stories are milling about on Twitter. Even the phrase "Earthquake" immediately became Indonesia's trending.
One Depok resident admitted that he ran away from the 3rd floor of his office building.
There are also netizens who say that the mattress is rocking. Some of the stories they reflect immediately ran away with their parents.
But there are also those who are confused because they do not feel anything from this earthquake.
Reported by the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the location of the earthquake was 113 km southeast of Sukabumi, West Java. The epicenter of the earthquake was 10 km deep and occurred exactly at 10.00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16.
The earthquake did not generate a tsunami wave. However, the BMKG warns of aftershocks.
