DENPASAR - All schools on the island of Bali will reopen with Face-to-face Learning (PTM) on April 1 after previously being suspended due to the COVID-19 case.

Head of the Bali Province Youth and Sports Education Office (Kadisdikpora), Ketut Ngurah Boy Jayawibawa, said that 50 percent of PTMs on the Island of the Gods will be opened and the other 50 percent online.

"If you look at the status level in Bali, it's still level 3. So, adjusting the SKB 4 ministers that the PTM is 50 percent," said Boy, when contacted, Tuesday, March 15.

Meanwhile, for health protocols at schools that hold PTM still refer to the Joint Decree (SKB) of 4 ministers regarding guidelines for implementing learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"While still referring to that, it's just that the Governor's instructions will be in line with the SKB 4 ministers for the implementation of PTM in Bali. So that all 9 districts and cities follow the instructions," he added.

Later the students will do PTM in turn.

"The duration (PTM) is temporary 2.5 to 3 hours. We are still adapting, right yesterday we had to carry out PTM but finally it was temporarily suspended. We will repeat it like that," he explained.

Meanwhile, school canteens are still closed to anticipate students crowding and ignoring health protocols.

"While the canteen cannot be opened," he said.

Parents are asked to supervise their children so that they are disciplined in maintaining health protocols.

"So if we are formally limited to class hours after that, we hope that parents will informally supervise their children as well as informally the community will take care so that when they return home from school, their parents will invite students to where they are.
