Ripple Announces Accepting 4,000 Artists And Content Creators On Its NFT Platform

JAKARTA – Ripple is reported to have received more than 4,000 artists including singers, musicians, content creators, game designers, and other artists to its NFT platform. Simultaneously, the Creator Fund disbursed funds worth 250 million US dollars or around Rp. 3.5 trillion.

Launched by NewsBTC, launched in September 2021, blockchain manufacturers aim to support artists and creative agencies such as Mintable, MintNFT, VSA Partners, NFT PRO, Ethernal Labs, and onXRP. Later, the creator funds will be distributed in batches with varying themes for each application "wave".

“This partnership allows us to enhance the Web 3 ecosystem by pioneering cross-chain interoperability and bringing NFT and digital assets to the masses,” said Nick Rose, CEO and founder of Ethernal Labs.

Notable artists joining this batch include Justin Bua, filmmaker Steven Sebring, and xPunks. They have come together to connect diverse gatherings of artists.

“I am thrilled to be one of the first visual artists to work with Ripple to bring my artistic vision to life in this tokenized world and provide the support I need to grow the BUA community,” added Bua.

Ripple's Creator Fund will eventually be accessible to independent and novice creators. They can record material so they can join the platform. Creator Fund is a platform focused on content creators in the market. In this case, Ripple seeks to help content creators to develop their careers and build their communities through XRP Ledger.

In the second quarter of 2022, the next theme will be announced by the platform. Theme rotation allows certain NFTs to use Ledger. It covers a wide range of themes including media and entertainment, sustainability, and Real Estate.

Reporting from the official website, XRP Ledger or commonly called XRPL is a decentralized public blockchain and is led by a global developer community. XRP's blockchain is claimed to be fast, energy-friendly, and reliable. With ease of development, low transaction costs, and an insightful community, it gives developers a strong open source platform to execute the projects they want the most—without harming the environment.

XRP Ledger was first developed in 2011 by David Schawrtz, Jed McCaleb, and Arthur Britto. All three were inspired by Bitcoin, so decided to start developing an improved version with the aim of creating a digital asset that was more sustainable and primarily designed for payments.

Regarding the entry into the NFT market, RipleX's Monica Long stated that the growth rate of NFT is very fast because it can provide real utility for crypto.

“NFT has proven very quickly to have real utility in crypto — from digital experiences and awards to artist royalties, co-ownership of real-world assets, and more.”

On March 11-20, Ripple is rumored to be hosting Ripple House at the South by Southwest festival. This event will be held in Austin, Texas, United States, as compiled by Voi.id from NewsBTC.
