The Barsekrim Polri is apparently investigating an investment fraud case under the guise of a trading robot Fahrenheit, which was investigated by the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni. The handling of the case is still at the stage of searching for evidence and witnesses.
"That the case is still under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Police investigators," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko to reporters, Tuesday, March 15.
The investigation process of the case was based on a report on February 14 last. However, there are no details about the complainant in this case.
Gatot only emphasized that the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes, Bareskrim Polri, which was handling this case, had started to carry out a series of examinations.
"Investigators have also conducted an in-depth investigation," said Gatot.
The case of alleged investment fraud has been in the spotlight of Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni. Through his Instagram account @ahmadsahroni88, he said there was a fraud case under the guise of investment that caused losses of up to IDR 5 trillion.
In addition, in the upload, Ahmad Sahroni also displayed snippets of images containing narratives related to the alleged parties related to the Fahrenheit application.
"There's something more sadistic. I don't know if it's true or not (is it true to 5T), this is a shame if it's true," said Sahroni.
Sahroni also asked the Police to conduct an investigation and pursue the perpetrators behind the fraudulent investment. So, the case can be investigated thoroughly.
"That's why I ask the police not to be afraid to chase down anyone who plays illegal trading... straighten up, sir," said Sahroni.
