TransJakarta Requires Passengers To Show Proof Of Second Dose Of Vaccination

JAKARTA - The management of PT TransJakarta requires passengers to show evidence of having been vaccinated against COVID-19 at least up to the second dose before using TransJakarta facilities in the application of the 100 percent capacity rule during the PPKM Level 2.

Acting (Plt) Head of the Corporate Secretary and Public Relations Division of PT Transportation Jakarta (TransJakarta), Angelina Betris said that evidence had been vaccinated against COVID-19 to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, on all TransJakarta services, starting Monday (14/3).

"Until now TransJakarta is still operating with strict health protocols, both at the bus stop and on the bus. All customers are required to show proof of having been vaccinated to the officers, either through the PeduliLindung application, JAKI, or using a printed certificate document, or digitally through mobile phones," said Betris as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 11.

Beatris explained, customers are also required to wear masks and take body temperature measurements before entering the TransJakarta bus stop gate area.

The adjustment to service capacity, he said, would go through socialization beforehand, from the previous 70 percent to 100 percent normal.

"Although the capacity has been increased to 100 percent, the safety and comfort aspects of customers are a top priority for us, especially for the community, at PPKM level 2," he said.

According to him, TransJakarta is here to provide access to the mobility needed. People don't need to worry but still follow all the rules for mutual safety and comfort.

Betris explained, in preparing 100 percent passenger capacity, TransJakarta Management will also remove all safety distance markings installed on the floor of the bus stop, on the bus, and on the customer seats. "The number of handgrips will also be adjusted to the needs of standing customers," he said.

Meanwhile, operating hours have not changed, starting at 05.00 WIB until 21.30 WIB, as well as night transportation services (Amari) from 21.31 WIB to 22.30 WIB.
