Suspect In Fictitious BUMDes Case Returns State Losses
BENGKULU - The Rejang Lebong District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in Bengkulu, Bengkulu, said that the former village head in the area who was a suspect in a fictitious BUMDes corruption case returned state losses of IDR 47 million.
Kajari Rejang Lebong Yadi Rachmat Sunaryadi through the Head of Special Operations Unit Arya Marsepa in Rejang Lebong, Thursday, said the suspect in the alleged corruption case against fictitious BUMDes for the 2018 budget year was RM (59) former Head of Bandung Marga Village, Bermani Ulu Raya Sub-district (BUR).
"Today the public prosecutor of the Rejang Lebong District Attorney received Rp45 million from Saini's brother, the money was BUMDes money that RM used to buy his land. [/see_also]He explained that the money returned by the suspect was deposited money which would then be used as compensation for state losses in accordance with Article 4 of Law No.31/1999 as amended by Law No.20/2001 regarding amendments to Law No. .31/1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
"Even though they have returned the state losses, the perpetrators will still be punished as referred to in Article 2 and Article 3. This will later be considered by the public prosecutor when demanding Rm as a defendant at trial," he explained.
For this reason, his party, he said, asked the suspect to hand over all the compensation for state losses which would later recover state losses in that case which amounted to Rp119.9 million.
"The money deposited today will be directly deposited in a special account for the Kejari Rejang Lebong depository," he added.
Previously, Rm (59) former Head of Bandung Marga Village, Bermani Ulu Raya Sub-district, on December 10, 2021, was detained by Kejari Rejang Lebong investigators after being named a suspect in the alleged corruption of fictitious BUMDes who received capital participation from local village funds, causing state losses of up to Rp119.9 million.
