The South Sulawesi AGO-Prosecutor's Sow Team Arrests Fugitives Convicted Of Stupid Investments

JAKARTA - The Fugitive Arrest Team (Tabur) of the Attorney General's Office and the South Sulawesi High Court have arrested the fugitive in the illegal financial services investment case, Yohanis Tandilangi (Totti) on Jalan Kayu Manis I Lama, Palmeriam, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

Head of the Information and Legal Section of the South Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office, Idil, said that the Sowing Team for the Attorney General's Office and the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office had arrested one of the fugitives whose legal decisions were binding.

"Johanis is a convict and has been a fugitive since 2021. The AGO Team and the South Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office Sow Team managed to track down the convict Yohanis, so that the execution was carried out immediately," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 9.

Idil said the convict Yohanis had been dispatched from Jakarta to Makassar and upon arrival, was immediately executed to a correctional institution (lapas).

Yohanis was found guilty according to the PT Decision Number: 697/Pid Sus/2020/PT. MKS dated February 1, 2021 and the Cassation Decision Number: 2169 K/Pid.Sus/2021 dated August 30, 2021.

"So his status is a convict and has been convicted of committing a banking crime together in the form of illegal financial services investment which resulted in customer losses reaching Rp. 131,098,262,661 and sentenced to 5 years in prison," explained Idil.

Idil said that Yohanis had actually been properly summoned to come to serve his criminal period. However, Yohanis was absent, so his status was made a DPO.

After seven months of being a fugitive, Yohanis' whereabouts were finally known, so the AGO's Sow Team and the South Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office made the arrests.

"We immediately executed the convict Yohanis at the Makassar Class IA Prison to serve his sentence," he said.
