TOP Will Release Solo Album After Comeback With BIGBANG
JAKARTA - BIGBANG, a K-pop group under YG Entertainment, is confirmed to be releasing music this year. But on the other hand, they announced that TOP left the agency.
After a long silence, TOP talked about his decision to leave the agency and was on hiatus for a long time. He also leaked the concept of BIGBANG's upcoming comeback.
“From the start, I have always shared with fans that I am very proud that I am TOP BIGBANG. But the last few years, I started to think maybe this is the end, and maybe there won't be BIGBANG's TOP for a while," TOP quoted Prestige as saying.
Not wanting to waste the opportunity, BIGBANG's new song will later contain its message to fans. This song also contains the reason why he decided to take a break from the group that made his name.
"To be honest, I don't want to say this is the last (comeback). But it seems like it will take a long time for me to come back as TOP BIGBANG,” he continued.
“For five years, our tastes in music and activities were different and now BIGBANG's music and TOP's music are also different. I'm at a time in my life where I want to start new challenges and transitions," he said.
Now, TOP is preparing his solo album. Debuted since 2006, TOP has only released two songs: Turn It Up and Doom Dada. He admitted that he was very ready for his solo album considering that he had written 100 songs over the last five years.
“I've already told fans that I plan on releasing a solo album in the future when I'm ready. Now, I'm ready. My first album will be released and this will be my first journey to share who I am,” said the Tazza star.
"For the first time since my debut 16 years ago, my first album will be released and this album will be made like a feature film," answered TOP
It is known that BIGBANG will make a comeback this year with four members: GDRAGON, TOP, Daesung, and Taeyang. This new song is the group's comeback after releasing Flower Road in 2018.
