File An Appeal Regarding The Dredging Of The Mampang River, Anies Is Considered To Have No Empathy For The Flood Victims

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has filed an appeal against the decision of the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) regarding the dredging of the Mampang River.

Responding to this, Francine Widjojo, the lawyer for the plaintiff in this case, assessed that Anies had been against his own citizens. The plaintiff in this case is a resident of the Mampang River flood victim.

Francine regretted that Anies seemed unwilling to accept the fact that flood control was not yet serious.

"Pak Anies has no empathy for his residents who are traumatized by being victims of the DKI Jakarta flood," Francine said in her statement, Wednesday, March 9.

In fact, said Francine, the citizen's lawsuit in case number 205/G/TF/2021/PTUN.JKT was carried out because Anies did not carry out his obligations to control flooding through river normalization based on the RPJMN, RPJMD DKI Jakarta, and the DKI Jakarta Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) 2030. , especially the Mampang River, Krukut River, and Cipinang River.

According to him, Anies seems to have forgotten that flood control is a routine work of the Governor of DKI Jakarta who does not need to be reminded. Meanwhile, in fact Anies had to be sued by his citizens by going through a long procedure.

"Now residents are being dragged deeper into the court process, even though the facts are clear and clear. Residents just want the Governor and his staff to be serious about dealing with flooding," he said.

In this case, the Jakarta Administrative Court has punished Anies who lost the lawsuit by ordering the dredging of the Mampang River to Pondok Jaya, as well as the anointing of the Mampang River in Pela Mampang Village.

This lawsuit was filed by seven residents since last August 2021. The residents included Tri Andarsanti Pursita, Jeanny Lamtiur Simanjuntak, Gunawan Wibisono, Yusnelly Suryadi D, Shanty Widhiyanti, Virza Syafaat Sasmitawidjaja, and Indra.

They are residents of Jakarta who were victims of a major flood on 19 to 21 February 2021, with a flood height of about 2 meters.
