KPK Warns Witness Of Alleged Corruption Church Construction In Mimika To Be Cooperative
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded witnesses of the alleged corruption in the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika Regency, Papua to cooperate. This warning was given after a witness was absent from the summons scheduled by investigators on Tuesday, March 8 yesterday.
The identity of the witness who was absent or absent without a statement was named Lina Wongso. She is a witness from the private sector.
"Lina Wongso, private or CV Caisar was not present and without confirmation to the investigative team regarding the reason for her absence", said KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector, Ali Fikri, in a written statement, Wednesday, March 9.
"KPK reminds to come back for the next summons schedule", he added.
Although one witness was absent, the KPK has asked for information from four witnesses from the private sector. They are the Director of PT Waringin Megah, Hermash Budi Yuwono Lukman; private sector from PT Waringin Megah Hendra Suhedi and Lily Lawu; and the staff of PT Kuala Persada Papua Nusantara, Kadir.
From the examination held at the East Java Representative Office of the Audit Board of Indonesia, Ali said, the investigation team confirmed several things. Including their company's participation in the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church.
"The witnesses were present and confirmed, including the company's participation in the construction process as one of the subcontractors working on the Kingmi Mile 32 Church construction project", he explained.
As previously reported, the KPK agreed that it was investigating the alleged corruption in the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church Phase 1 for the 2015 Fiscal Year in Mimika Regency, Papua. However, they have not fully informed the construction of the case and who were named as suspects.

Details regarding the suspects to the construction of the case will be carried out when forced efforts are made to either arrest or detain the suspects.
In investigating the case, the KPK has summoned several witnesses, such as elements from the Mimika Regency Regional House of Representatives for the 2014-2019 period to other private parties.
From the examination of these witnesses, the KPK has studied the budget discussion process at the Mimika Regency Regional House of Representatives of Budget Agency regarding the Kingmi Mile 32 Church construction project Phase 1 for Fiscal Year 2015 as well as the process of implementing the tender to construction.
