'Don't Be Careless And Arbitrarily'

BOGOR - The chairman of the DPRD for Bogor Regency, West Java, Rudy Susmanto, questioned the working visit of Commission I to Denpasar City, Bali because it was considered without the knowledge of the leadership of the council.

"This should be a lesson for all members of the Bogor Regency DPRD who will make a working visit, don't be careless and arbitrarily, the mechanism must be followed!" he said in Cibinong, Bogor, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

Rudy admitted that he had not received any notification regarding DPRD members leaving for Bali even though a delegation from Commission I of the Bogor Regency DPRD had arrived on the Island of the Gods on Tuesday, March 8.

"I don't know yet that there is a member of the Bogor Regency DPRD who is going to Bali, because there should be an official work visit note that I have to accrue. Meanwhile, to this day I have not received it, if there is a new official memorandum, then a disposition letter will be made to issue the budget," said the Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of the Gerindra Party.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Commission I of the Bogor Regency DPRD, Usep Supratman, when confirmed, assured that the working visit was carried out according to the applicable mechanism during an official trip at the DPRD.

He also denied that there was no coordination with the board of directors. The reason is, he said, the DPRD's working visit has been budgeted for in the 2022 APBD.

"The 2022 APBD will take effect as of January 1. And this working visit is official, commission assistants and the Head of Division (section heads) also participate. Commission I cannot leave if it is not in accordance with the mechanism," said the PPP politician.

Usep said the working visit of Commission I DPRD Bogor Regency to Denpasar, Bali, to learn how to overcome the seizure of assets belonging to the Regional Government (Pemda).

"In the near future, Commission I will hold a meeting with the Regional Secretariat regarding asset security. This is one of the reasons why Commission I needs to learn from the Bali Region. All of their assets are safe," said Usep.

According to him, this step needs to be taken to improve security for regional assets so that they are not seized by irresponsible parties, given the high number of cases of land grabbing belonging to the Bogor Regency Government.

He said the working visit was part of the duties and functions of DPRD members. This applies throughout Indonesia and also applies to executive institutions.
