KSAD Inaugurates 2 Military Headquarters Infrastructure In Palembang

PALEMBANG - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman inaugurated two infrastructures for the TNI AD Military Command Headquarters in Palembang, South Sumatra.

The infrastructure which was inaugurated by General TNI Dudung was in the form of Building C of the Regional Military Command Headquarters (Kodam) II/Sriwijaya and the Military Resort Command Headquarters Building (Korem) 044/Gapo.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Governor and Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD who provided grants for the construction of these buildings, hopefully they will motivate the soldiers in carrying out their duties," he said after the inauguration of Building C of the Regional Military Command Headquarters (Kodam) II/Sriwijaya. in Palembang reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

According to General TNI Dudung, the provision of this grant demonstrates the strong synergy between the government and the Indonesian Armed Forces who work in the area.

In fact, he said, the Governor of South Sumatra as an extension of the President in running the government in the region and his staff paid the same attention to the Regional Police and other elements in the area.

"Thank you, and with this condition of togetherness, we hope that together we can accelerate the realization of regional development programs, improve the welfare of the community, and continue to create a zero-conflict South Sumatra," he said.

The Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, said that the grant for the construction of the two buildings was a form of community appreciation for the sincere service of members of the TNI so as to create security and public welfare.

"This is a community award for the service of the TNI in South Sumatra, although it has not been maximized because it is only partially, but I hope it will become a symbol in increasing the synergy of regional development," he said.

Meanwhile, Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Major General TNI Agus Suhardi added that the newly inaugurated Building C consists of five floors, each floor has its own function.

Where, the first, second, and third floors of the building function as parking lots that can accommodate as many as 52, 22, and 29 cars, guard posts, videotron monitor rooms, and elevator doors. Then on the fourth floor it functions as the Dam Office, Denmadam, and WWII/SWJ Office, and the fifth floor is the elevator engine room.

"Then the 044/Gapo Makorem Building has also been completed, which is more representative than before, so that through the assistance that has been hoped for a long time by the soldiers, it is hoped that they can make them even more optimal in their duties," he said.
