Truck Collision With Ambulance Carrier Body In Pati, One Person Dies Thrown From Car

PATI - A traffic accident involving an ambulance carrying corpses and a water tanker at the Bleber Intersection, Jalan Diponegoro, Pati Regency, Central Java, resulted in the death of one person.

According to the Head of Laka Satlantas Pati Police Iptu Inung Hesti Yugastanto, in Pati, the accident occurred at around 06.00 WIB.

The ambulance carrying the body of the former member of the Pati DPRD was traveling from the north or from the RAA Soewondo Pati Hospital to the south, while from the west the water transporting truck headed east.

When crossing the traffic lights, he said, the ambulance did indeed pass when the light was red. However, the ambulance has turned on the rotator lights so that according to the rules it gets priority to pass.

Meanwhile, from the west the tanker truck driven by the driver with the initials "RM" continued to pass, because the traffic light was green, resulting in a collision.

"It is possible that because the tanker truck driver was carrying a heavy load, the braking effort was not optimal," he said, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 5.

Due to this incident, one passenger in an ambulance on behalf of Itok, who was a family member of the corpse carrier, died at the scene due to head injuries. The other two passengers and the ambulance driver survived.

The victim died, he said, was thrown out during the accident.

The ambulance car was hit by the rear right side, while the tanker truck was also badly damaged because the steering wheel also could not be moved.
