Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In Lampung Increase By 522 People

LAMPUNG - The Lampung Provincial Health Office (Dinkes) noted that there had been an addition of 522 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the area.

"The addition of 522 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lampung," said Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana in a written statement in Bandarlampung, Antara, Friday, March 4.

He said the addition of 522 positive cases of COVID-19 had increased the cumulative number of cases from 65,967 people to 66,489 people.

"The positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 came from Bandar Lampung City with 70 cases, Metro 20 cases, Pringsewu Regency 43 cases, and Pesawaran 36 cases," he said.

In North Lampung Regency there are 36 people who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, Central Lampung 38 cases, East Lampung 83 people, West Lampung 40 people.

Then in Mesuji there were 21 cases, Tanggamus 34 cases, Tulang Bawang 33 cases, West Tulang Bawang 14 cases, South Lampung 21 cases, Waykanan 23 cases, and Pesisir Barat 10 cases.

He explained that the number of deaths due to COVID-19 had increased by 6 people, bringing a total of 3,944 people who died.

The death cases increased by 6 people from Tulang Bawang 1 Regency with 1 case of death, Mesuji 1 case, East Lampung 1 case, Pesawaran 1 case, Central Lampung 1 case, and North Lampung 1 case.

Furthermore, there are also additional 3 new suspected cases, 135 people are being monitored, bringing a total of 138 suspected cases.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases has increased by 637 people, bringing a total of 53,428 people who have recovered. "With this addition, the implementation of health protocols must be implemented more strictly," he said.
