Police Chief Tonny Kurniawan: Many Rejang Lebong Residents Start Ignoring COVID-19 Prokes

REJANG LEBONG - Rejang Lebong Bengkulu Police Chief, AKBP Tonny Kurniawan stated, currently many residents in the area are starting to ignore the health protocols (prokes) to prevent COVID-19.

Starting from the loosening of the health protocols implemented by residents in the area, it was seen directly together with the Dandim 0409/Rejang Lebong and the chairman of the DPRD Rejang Lebong while monitoring the Nala 2022 Safety Operation in the region today.

"After walking around and visiting one by one, we found Rejang Lebong residents who ignored health protocols, especially not wearing masks," he said in Rejang Lebong, Antara, Friday, March 4.

Residents who ignore the prokes are then given a warning as well as a mask. Every time they leave the house, people are advised to wear a mask.

His party continues to urge the public to increase discipline in carrying out health protocols because currently Rejang Lebong Regency has implemented PPKM level 3 following the increase in the spread of COVID-19.

"Earlier we also disseminated the appeal of the Rejang Lebong Police Chief regarding PPKM level 3, one of which is that if you carry out activities that are present a maximum of 50 percent of the location's capacity," he said.

After an appeal from the Rejang Lebong Police Chief, if there are still local people who violate the law, they will be subject to sanctions, ranging from reprimands to according to applicable legislation.

Meanwhile, in the Nala 2022 Safety Operation, which they held this time, it was filled with door-to-door vaccination activities to the public as well as opening a precision vaccine booth at the Bang Mego Curup Police Post.
