The Thief In Cengkareng Kosan Turns Out To Be Hurt By His Victim, Only On Sale Promise To Buy A Cellphone
JAKARTA - The Cengkareng Police have managed to apprehend the perpetrators of the theft of goods in a boarding house in the Pedongkelan area of Kapuk Cengkareng, West Jakarta, which was reported last Sunday, February 27.
West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Public Relations, Kompol Moch Taufik Iksan, said the perpetrator with the initials AB (25) was arrested by the police in the Bandung area, West Java.
"The perpetrator with the initials AB is known to have lived together in the victim's boarding room for 2 months," he said when confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 4, afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Cengkareng Police, Kompol Ardhie Demastyo, said that the motive for taking the victim's belongings was because the perpetrator was hurt by the victim.
"The perpetrator with the initials AB was lured by the victim to be given a cellphone. But until then the cellphone had not been given by the victim," said Kompol Ardhie.
The police chief said that the theft occurred when victim YAP (20) was sleeping with 3 other friends, including suspect AB. The victim then put his cellphone on the floor. When the victim woke up, he saw that his cellphone was gone, and one of his friends was also not in the room.
Then, continued the Police Chief, the victim could not get out of his room because the perpetrator had locked it from outside. The victim finally left the room through the window.
At around 11.00 WIB, the victim came to the Cengkareng Police Station to report the incident. The Cengkareng Police Buser team managed to identify the perpetrator and arrest him. The suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code.
