Hero Tito, Boxer With Unusual Fighting Frequency
JAKARTA - The national boxer, Hero Tito, died after being in a coma for several days in the hospital. He breathed his last on Thursday, March 3.
Hero Tito died after undergoing surgery due to brain swelling. He got the injury during a duel with James Mokoginta at the Holywings Club, Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) Jakarta on Sunday night, 27 February.
A heavy blow from James in the seventh round made Hero Tito fall and was declared defeated by KO. He had woken up, but again unconscious until he was taken to the hospital.
Hero Tito is known as a boxer with a lot of fighting frequency, even excessive. Since November 2021, he has been in the ring every month, according to Boxrec.com.
It started with a six-round fight against Hendy Luis in Malang on November 7, 2021. On December 5, he played eight rounds against Khartik Kumar in Hyderabad, India.
The last is the duel versus James which resulted in Hero KO and coma.
One fight that was not recorded was in January 2022. There is no record explaining the Hero fight in January, but promoter Armin Tan said that the boxer fought in Malang in January 2022.
In total in his professional career, Hero Tito has competed 47 times, according to official records at Boxrec. Beyond that, it could be more.
Out of 47 matches, Hero Tito won 29 times with 11 KO wins. He lost 16 times and two duels ended equally strong.
