Governor: Aceh Government Is Not Anti-Critic
ACEH - Aceh Governor Nova Iriansyah stated that his government is not anti-criticism and is not against channeling people's aspirations through demonstrations.
"I am ready to be criticized and not anti-demo, because it is one of the instruments of democracy and convey aspirations with good ethics. Tell us where the omissions and weaknesses are, God willing, we will correct them. The government really needs the support of OKP and NGOs," Nova said in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 1.
The statement was made on the sidelines of receiving a visit from the Aceh Youth and Student Association Forum (FMPPA) at the Aceh Deputy Governor's Office House.
Nova explained that in implementing development, the government cannot work alone, but all elements of society must be involved.
"From the beginning I have emphasized that there is no superman who can run the government and roll out development programs alone. All need collaboration and cross-sectoral cooperation," he said.
Therefore, according to Nova, constructive criticism and suggestions from OKP and NGOs are very much needed in the success of regional development.
The governor also appreciated the work that had been done by FPMPA to be more focused and suggested that the organization should focus on issues that are well guarded.
“I appreciate the work of FPMPA. Hopefully he can continue to take part and exist and his works really touch the community. I suggest that FPMPA choose to focus on issues that are being guarded, for example focusing on the health sector,” he said.
FPMPA chairman Muhammad Jasdy said that as a form of support for the vaccination program promoted by the government, some time ago the organization he leads has socialized vaccination in a number of remote areas in Aceh.
“We have disseminated vaccinations to the community in Lapeng Pulo, Aceh. At that time, we also vaccinated 84 people. In addition, we also vaccinated 64 residents of Pondok Gajah in Bener Meriah and 104 residents of Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil," he said.
