The BPKP Calculates State Losses In Corruption Cases In Procurement Of Garuda Indonesia Aircraft
JAKARTA - The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) is calculating the potential loss to the state over the alleged corruption case in the procurement of PT. Garuda Indonesia.
Head of the Legal and Communication Bureau of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Eri Satriana said the calculation process was ongoing, but he had not been able to confirm the completion of the process of calculating state losses in the alleged corruption case of aircraft procurement at PT. Garuda Indonesia.
"We cannot confirm when it will be completed, but what is clear is that when BPKP was asked to calculate state losses in the alleged corruption case in aircraft procurement, we proceeded immediately," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 25.
According to Eri, when the process of calculating state losses has been completed, BPKP will submit the results to the Attorney General's Office.

Eri Satriana said that the BPKP was asked by the Attorney General's Office to calculate state losses in the case of alleged corruption in the procurement of aircraft at PT. Garuda Indonesia.
"Yes, we (BPKP) were officially asked by the Attorney General's Office to calculate state losses in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of aircraft on the Garuda Indonesia airline," he said.
Eri explained that the request for calculating state losses in the alleged corruption case involved the procurement of Bombardier CRJ 1000 aircraft and PT Garuda Indonesia ATR 72-600 aircraft.
"The request for calculating state losses is through an official letter from the Attorney General's Office dated January 21, 2022. There were 2 exposures, the first on February 14, 2022, and the second on February 21, 2022," he said.
