KPK Investigate Mechanism For Backing Up PT Antam's Products From Employees

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of corruption in the cooperation between PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) and PT Loco Montrado in 2017.

Recently, the KPK investigated the process and mechanism for backing up products belonging to this state-owned company from an employee in the Quality Internal Audit and Development Program Specialist at PT Antam's Internal Audit, Ade Prasetyo. The investigation was carried out by investigators on Wednesday, February 23 yesterday.

"The person concerned was present and confirmed, among other things, related to the process and mechanism for backing up products belonging to PT AT Tbk," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Thursday, February 24.

In addition, Ali said, KPK investigators also examined a witness, namely Vhalentio Chandra.

"The person concerned was present and confirmed, among others, regarding the existence of a cooperation contract agreement between the witness company and PT AT Tbk," he said. Previously, the KPK stated that it was investigating allegations of corruption related to the cooperation in the management of land anodes between PT Antam and PT Loco Montrado that occurred in 2017. then.

It has not been explained in detail who the suspect is and the construction of the alleged corruption. However, the KPK has examined a number of witnesses and conducted searches and confiscation of evidence in Jakarta, Banten and West Kalimantan.
