Coordinating Minister For SMEs Teten: Formula E In Jakarta Has The Potential To Increase MSME Turnover
JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Teten Masduki supports the implementation of the Formula E electric car race in Jakarta because it has the potential to increase the turnover of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
"I fully support 'events' like that that can bring in traffic to increase MSME turnover," said Teten when reviewing booster vaccinations for the general public, the elderly and Grab partners MSME players at the Ecovention Hall, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Pademangan, North Jakarta was reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 22.
Teten assesses that Formula E has great potential if it is used as a means of promoting MSMEs, tourism and investment, such as the international racing event in the Mandalika area, Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), namely MotoGP.
"The potential is quite large, like MotoGP alone, up to 400 million people can watch it, apart from those who are present at the venue. Usually an average of 100 thousand people are present at the venue. The big ones are actually those who watch via broadcasts in the world," he said. Teten.
Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is asked to properly prepare all facilities that can later be used by MSME activists in Jakarta to promote MSME products offline and online.
"I also think that Formula E if it is prepared properly, it can also be a place to promote tourism, investment and trade. So we will take full advantage of this," said Teten.
The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta contributes 18 percent of the total gross domestic product of the national GDP. 98.8 percent of the 1.1 million business actors in DKI Jakarta are MSMEs.
