KPK Summons Bekasi City Government Secretary, Reny Hendrawati, This Is The Fourth Time
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again questioned the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Bekasi City Government, Reny Hendrawati, today, Tuesday, February 22.
This is the fourth time that Reny has investigated allegations of bribery in the procurement of goods and services and the auction of positions that ensnared the inactive Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi or Pepen.
"Reny Hendrawati, the Secretary of the Bekasi City Government is being questioned as a witness for the suspect RE," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in his statement, Tuesday, February 22.
Apart from Reny, the Corruption Eradication Commission also summoned the Head and Head of Land Affairs of the Bekasi City Government Perkimtan, Heryanto Suparjan and Usman. The KPK also summoned the Head of the Finance Division of PDAM Tirta Bhagasasi; Head of Jatikarya, Sulatifa and Jatiwarna Karyadi Village Heads.
The examination of the witnesses was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. It is not yet known what examination materials will be investigated by the witnesses.
However, investigators suspect that they know about Pepen's rioting.
For information, Reny has been investigated for several things related to the alleged bribery. In the first and second examinations, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) studied staffing regulations within the Bekasi City Government.
In addition, Reny was also investigated regarding the order from Pepen to determine certain projects whose budgets were managed by the Bekasi City Government. Next, the KPK also explored the cash flow enjoyed by Pepen and a number of other suspects.
Furthermore, during the third examination, Reny handed over a sum of money to the KPK investigators who allegedly came from corruption suspect Rahmat Effendi. The anti-corruption commission did not specify how much money was handed over, but it was confirmed that an analysis would be carried out.
Previously reported, Rahmat Effendi or Pepen along with eight other people were named by the KPK as suspects for alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions in the Bekasi City Government.
Pepen with the Secretary of the Investment Office and PTSP, M Bunyamin; Head of Jatisari Village, Mulyadi; Jatisampurna Sub-district Head, Wahyudin; and the Head of the Bekasi City Housing, Settlement and Land Office, Jumhana Lutfi, were named as recipients of bribes.
Meanwhile, the four suspected givers are the Director of PT MAM Energindo, Ali Amril; private party, Lai Bui Min; Director of Bintang Rayatri City, Suryadi; and the sub-district head of Rawalumbu, Makhfud Saifudin.
